Terms and Conditions

I am a full member of the Association of Reflexologists (AoR). Being a full member demonstrates that I have a nationally recognised Diploma in Reflexology.

As an AoR member;

  • I am bound by the AoR Code of Practice and Ethics.

  • I follow the AoR Good Practice Policy and hygiene guidance to ensure client safety.

  • I will always be adequately insured for medical malpractice/professional indemnity requirements. 

  • I comply with the AoR Continuing Professional Development requirements which ensures my practice is kept up to date.

  • I am compliant with GDPR date protection. Please see my separate GDPR Privacy policy. Your information will remain confidential at all times.

  • As a professional and highly qualified reflexologist with MAR status, I will provide you with the appropriate bespoke treatment and support.

  • I keep data electronically, so I am registered with the Information Commissioners Office.

Consultation

  • All clients must complete a consultation form prior to treatment to enable me to understand any health and wellbeing issues that may need considering or addressing. This is also you consent for me to treat you.

  • Treatments will only be conducted if are no contraindications to treatment on the day.

  • GP/Consultant permission may be required before treatments can commence.

 

Appointments

  • I have health requests of my clients as follows; 

    • if you have a cough, a fever or loss of taste and /or smell or have been in contact with anyone with these symptoms, please contact me as we may need to postpone your appointment

    • If you feel generally unwell or have a high temperature, please contact me as we may need to postpone your appointment

  • I will apply these same standards to myself. Should I feel unwell, unable to treat or it is inadvisable for me to treat, I will explain the situation to you as soon as possible before your treatment.

Payment

  • I accept payment by Bacs transfer or in cash.

  • Payment can be made prior to the appointment or within 2 days following treatment. I reserve the right to contact you in the case on non-payment.

 

Cancellation Policy

  • As a sole trader you will appreciate that my time is my business so no-shows/missed appointments and very late cancellations affect my business and also prevent me from offering the opportunity for an appointment to someone else. If you wish to cancel or change your appointment, I respectfully request 24 hours notice, otherwise you will incur a cancellation fee of the full treatment price.

  • The cancellation fee may be waived at my discretion.

  • I reserve the right to cancel a treatment without notice if the client is under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

 

Vouchers​

  • Vouchers are available for any value to cover a treatment or course of treatments and can be personalised.

  • Vouchers must be presented at the time of booking or treatment

  • Vouchers cannot be refunded or exchanged for cash or other vouchers

  • Expiration dates on vouchers cannot be extended or changed except in exceptional circumstances`

Use Of Background Music

  • I only play Royalty free music within my business and therefore I am not required to have The Music Licence.

Privacy

  • I am compliant with GDPR date protection. Please see my separate GDPR Privacy policy. Your information will remain confidential at all times.

  • Client consultations and treatment details will not be discussed with anyone other than the client unless the client is under the age of 16 or has a care worker or guardian.

  • Consultation forms and treatment notes are kept securely.

  • By signing the consultation form, clients are giving me permission to hold records and data about them.

Young Clients

  • Clients under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult

  • The adult must give permission for the treatment to be performed

  • The adult must co-sign the consultation form

  • The adult must be present in the room throughout the treatment
